WE INVITE YOU TO JOIN OUR MISSION OF SERVICE TO NEEDY CHILDREN
BE A GOODFELLOW! HELP A CHILD!
In 2012, 4,348 Gifts Were Made to Needy Children for Winter Clothing, Holiday Food, and/or Toys. 1,289 Needy Families with Children Received Holiday Meal Vouchers.
The Goodfellows is what the founders of the organization called themselves back in 1932. The name was changed when formal legal documents were required to continue the work of The Goodfellows. But the mission of the founders has remained the same.
HOW WE DO IT
We engage the greater Kenosha County community by asking citizens and businesses to contribute small and large monetary gifts, and gifts-in-kind that may be auctioned or raffled at our annual dinner event to raise funds to serve our mission.
The funds are used to purchase toys, coats, hats, gloves, mittens and food for needy children in the Kenosha County area during the winter holiday season. The Kenosha Goodfellows is active in overseeing the distribution of toys, outer garments and food so that it is well managed .
We make sure the clothing, toys and food are distributed to families with children who are truly in need. The Kenosha Goodfellows oversees an organization of local agencies that registers families with children who qualify for need and distributes the toys, outer garments and food. That organization is called “Holiday House.”
That is why The Kenosha Goodfellows is an efficient and effective way to spread the hope, joy and spirit of the winter holiday season to children in need.
